André Santos convida Teresinha Landeiro
“This year, to the magical stage at Estalagem da Ponta do Sol, I decided to invite a singer that I love and who has never sung in Madeira - Teresinha Landeiro, a fado singer from scratch, who likes to be influenced by good songs, regardless of the style. Last year, Teresinha invited me to produce her latest album ‘Para dançar e para chorar’, where we strengthened our musical partnership and made me want to share the stage as a duo with Teresinha. There is no better stage than the Estalagem for this invitation. Teresinha accepted and now we are preparing a special and memorable concert as the L Concerts audience deserves. More than fado, there will be beautiful songs and surprising versions. We are waiting for you in the charming garden of Estalagem .” André Santos
It is already a tradition at the L Concerts, a night in which the well-known Madeiran guitarist André Santos is the host and invites renowned national musicians to step on the stage at the Estalagem for an artistic residency. In previous editions André Santos, presented in the L Concerts, names such as Maria João, Carlos Bica, António Zambujo, Salvador Sobral, Manuela Azevedo among others. Therefore, expectations for the 2024 edition could not be higher.
Teresinha Landeiro clearly marks her fado. In 2024 she releases a new album, to reinforce this identity that she places in her art. “Chegou a Hora” and “Maré de Sorte” were the breakthrough themes of this new work in which fado remains central, but contaminated by pop composers, as well as folklore.
