Caio Prado
Caio Prado is one of the great singers and composers of the new generation of Brazilian music. After participating in Rock In Rio 2022, the artist, sponsored by Elza Soares, has just released his third album. Caio Prado is an urgent artist: a great defender of LGBTQIA+ and racial issues, Caio has been a reference for minorities, it can be said that Caio Prado is one of the most provocative artists in current Brazilian music.Caio began his career with the albums “Variável Eloquente” (2014) and “Incendeia” (2018), which featured Maria Gadú. In 2020, the single “Não sou seu negro” became the theme song for the special Falas Negras 2021 on TV Globo, sung by Caio and Alcione.
Soon after, the song “Baobá”, a partnership with Verônica Bonfim, earned him the title of “Neo MPB vocal phenomenon” by the international press. Considered by specialized critics and the public as one of the great singers and composers of the Brazilian independent scene, Caio Prado was born and raised in Realengo, in the suburbs of Rio.
