Hatis Noit
Hatis Noit is a Japanese vocalist from distant Shiretoko, Hokkaido, who now resides in London. Inspired by everything she could find, from Gagaku – Japanese classical music – and opera styles, Bulgarian and Gregorian chants, to avant-garde and pop vocalists.March 23, 2018 marked the worldwide release of their enigmatic debut EP Illogical Dance on Erased Tapes. The impressive 4-track album features Matmos, in collaboration with Björk, and creates unique musical worlds with transcendent vocal interpretations, which at the same time deconstruct and recombine Western classical music, Japanese folk and the ambient atmosphere of nature itself.
Their debut album, Aura, was released on June 24, 2022, to widespread critical acclaim, with Inori receiving a rework from American avant-garde composer William Basinski and Thor a shamanic techno remix from the legendary UK DJ and producer. Matthew Herbert. She was invited by David Lynch to perform at the Manchester International Festival in 2019, and appeared in American super-producer Rick Rubin's Showtime documentary series.
Recommended by The Guardian as «One To Watch», the Japanese Hatis Noit has an impressive vocal range and her timbre fascinates us in the mastery with which she works in the operatic domain and captivates us in her form of divine, ethereal and, at the same time, splendid evocation. «Hatis Noit – with her ethereal crossover of mystical and modern, this Japanese artist has moved audiences to tears.» We remind you that is only possible to book the next 2 concerts, the link to book this concert will be available from 27th July.
