New Classic presents "Deep Blue - with artistic direction by Bruno Pernadas
The New Classic Association invites guitarist and composer Bruno Pernadas to an artistic residency, where the artist will join a group of young Madeirans to create original works that will be presented for the first time at the L Concerts.
In partnership with the Municipal Music Council (CMF), Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias, the New Classic Association, the Retoiça Association, the Estalagem da Ponta do Sol, and artistic creation studios, we present a unique project involving the composition and recording of original songs by the guest musician, singer-songwriter Bruno Pernadas, and musicians from Madeira.
The main objective of this project is to give these young people a unique opportunity to collaborate with one of the most renowned names in Portuguese alternative music. After the first concert at the Estalagem da Ponta do Sol, the group will embark on a short tour of various venues in the region and mainland Portugal, presenting not only the original songs composed during their residency at the Funchal Artistic Creation Studio, but also songs written by composer Bruno Pernadas.
Bruno Pernadas prepares to record his fourth album of new material (the follow-up to 2021's "Private Reasons"), a musician and composer who has performed in Japan, Mexico, France, Germany, Spain, Macau, and China, makes his L concert debut with a performance that is sure to be special. Acclaimed by national and international critics, Bruno Pernadas was the first Portuguese artist to produce an album by a Japanese band—Kikagaku Moyo's "Massana Temples"—and has composed numerous soundtracks for film, theater, dance, and television.
